Our journey first began in the unfinished basement of a quiet suburb of St. Paul, MN, where our artist, Alexandra, discovered the peaceful joy of making things by hand. We are dedicated to preserving the tactile artistry of our craft, ensuring that every piece we create is a unique testament to our commitment to quality craftsmanship.
AdaMae Handmade came to fruition in 2026, honoring Alexandra's grandmothers who were music teachers and a big inspiration to her creativity. While AdaMae Handmade is a one-woman-show, the name embraces the people who have taught, inspired, encouraged, supported, and believed in Alexandra's creativity.

Alexandra Bane
Alexandra’s interest in creative arts was discovered growing up watching her mom run a small business from their basement, sewing custom window treatments and throw pillows. Learning from a young age how to sew, knit, crochet, and more, Alexandra has always been inspired to create unique pieces of her own and eventually start a small business, just like her mom did. Her artistic repertoire encompasses dance, yoga, pottery, and textile arts.
Alexandra’s passion in life is to create art that connects people- to themselves and to one another - and to bring beauty and worth into the spaces and lives it touches.
